In your body, hyaluronic acid (HA) fills the spaces between cells, protecting them by retaining water and serving as a cushion. Considered a ‘natural moisturiser’ HA performs different tasks in the body. For instance, it helps maintain normal joint cushioning and hydrates the connective tissue. What the practitioner does

• The practitioner will remove any make up and the area to be treated will be cleaned thoroughly.
• Depending on your treatment, you may be asked to frown, relax your facial muscles or purse your lips so the practitioner can identify the wrinkles or lines to be treated.
• The practitioner injects the filler and massages the area around it in order to deploy the product.

After treatment, some injection-related reactions may occur, including redness, swelling and slight bruising. These reactions are completely normal, generally mild to moderate, and usually disappear within a week.
